I lowkey liked dach a lot, always stuck up for teammates. So with dach gone, and if foligno gets moved, then who’s the hawks “tough guy”?

Good asset management. The new guys are coming and room is needed. JD is a fine shutdown center, but not a long term fit here. Getting draft picks is never a bad thing for a rebuilder. Need to keep Ilya I think it will help with the kid coming over from Russia next year. Good point about grit and toughness. Though Sasha should give some of that.
Chicago Blackhawks had a mini dynasty with 3 Stanley win cups with great players like Tim Kaine, Cory Crawford, etc. Then coach Q was let go, which was a terrible decision.
The 2027 draft is projected to be significantly better than the 2026 draft. Packaging 2027 first round picks to get an extra 2026 pick is not wise asset management.

So, we got rid of our team enforcer Colton Dach….
Wish them the best, Dickinson had no future here due to age, I appreciated Dach’s physicality but not sure what else he brought to the table, and he seemed like he was made of glass like his brother.
Mangiapane isn’t a big guy, but he seems like he has some toughness.

This has to be the softest, lowest hockey iq team in the league now. Kd seems unwilling to make a big trade or trade for a big body. As it stands today, this is another bottom 5 finish team next year.
What is it with the Oilers getting all these Hawks lately? Crazy. Yes, I know that they have Bowman as the GM. Here's hoping the Leafs fall out of the playoffs even more… Mathews is such a perfect trade candidate in the offseason imo.

It looks like Davidson is laying the groundwork for long term success rather than immediate superficial gratification.
When is anyone in the blackhawks front office going to come out and talk about what is the goal and what process or pieces are in place to achieve that goal? Replacing grit on a team that cant crack .500 is a meaningless and frustrating conversation. What is the purpose of this team?

I am pulling for Dach to do well with Oilers , he played a style that was needed on this team. Dickinson was also a solid Hawk that played his role well. His line played against the best night in and out. Best to him also
Skeptical only because we continue to have so many draft picks but we continue to pull up the rear in the standings. We shall see but I'm not going to keep watching because it's exciting loses.
We dont need to overpay vets just to play here , we will need to bring in guys to help the kids but also to win games. If KD can get rid of Jones with no other team competing , he can get rid of other vets that aren't helping the team. Hoping we can put together a top line next year
The Hawks forwards are too small to play an effective 2 way game. We need Marian Hossa.
