Je pense que Taylor Haase est compétent et minutieux. Mais ce rapport signifie-t-il que Crosby pourrait revenir plus tôt que prévu ?

I think that last paragraph is just explaining IR rules. He’s already been on it for the minimum time but not everyone knows that because some people think it was LTIR

I’m confused? Why did all the reports say a MINIMUM of 4 weeks if in reality it was only 7 days??

It just means he’s over the minimum waiting period for any IR designation. Has nothing to do with the injury.

I went to the game last night and while I am not a Pens fan, Crosby is my favorite and I was sad he wasn’t there.
Should have stopped in GR and got the stem cells on the way back from the Olympics but since they shared a plane probably not
I mean, sure the minimum IR time is over, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will play anytime real soon.
He’s ELIGIBLE to play, but he will only play when he’s healthy.
PLEASE GIVE ME HOPE. I got tickets to the game @ Avalanche in 2 weeks. I can’t wait for all the Pens to be there, but I always want to see Sid.
Hooray
He may be good to skate on his own but it is very different being prepared for full contact and intensity games.
For anyone that was paying attention Crosby also skated the day of the gold medal game. This is a nothing burger. When he returns to practicing with the team we’ll know he’s actually on the cusp of returning to the lineup.
I’m going to be at tomorrow’s game. Why would you say this now???!? Now I have a very irrational hope that I’ll be seeing him on ice tomorrow night 🥹
Can he just take face offs then skate to the bench for someone to pop in and play on his line? /s (kind of)
I wouldn’t be shocked if he comes back early, as this has happened recently after ‘minimum’ declarations – but only by a few days.
The pens have an intense slate all the way to the playoffs, and he’s only coming back when the team are confident he can handle that.
Don’t hold your breath for an immediate return here. This is just saying he is eligible to play now based on the IR rules. It’s great that he’s skating and looks good but this doesn’t mean they are activating him.

I hope he’s back by the 14th! I only get to see the boys once a year when they come to Utah and seeing him score the overtime goal last year was epic!
I have heard this same report from other sources, and I also heard right after the four week announcement that several people close didn’t think it would be that long.
However, for the good of the team, and for the chance of winning a playoff series, which I will remind us all has not happened since 2018, I think we need to rest Sid as long as they can physically keep out of the lineup (at some point, Sid is just going to go get dressed and go out, and I don’t know who would stop him).
It’s great that he’s skating, the but the difference between skating around and shooting and getting hit in the NHL is considerable to say the least. Injury occurred Feb 18,- 2 weeks ago. The game against the Jets on March 21st after that 4 game road trip would seem to fit all around.
I’d rest him until then if it were my call.
It’ll be telling if he travels with the team on Monday to Carolina.
He was skating last Saturday as well and witnessed by people at the Lemieux rinks.
According to the great Josh Yohe, to answer your question, it means he could come back at any point between now and the end of the season.
I actually didn’t need coffee for the second half of work after reading this.
Penguins: « Sidney Crosby can return at any time »

I would imagine, based on previous injuries, he’ll probably skate another couple days on his own. If he doesn’t experience any pain, he’ll practice with the team a few times in a non-contact jersey.
Wow Sid was crossing over in both directions? That’s impressive.
Chris Pronger is eligible to come off IR now too.
