Yeah why the hell aren’t they asking for a 5th? Start low in negotiations right?

I like Roy, he works well with almost anyone you put him with. I’d personally keep him but if the price is right he’ll have to go.

  3. I’m ok with this. It’s the UFAs that I think they need to be more open to moving

They should be willing to retain to maximize the return. Boston did it with Carlo.

Maybe if there was fine print in the Leafs previous deadline trades that compels other teams to pay the same prices we’ve been paying at the deadline for bottom-half of the roster talent.

If fucking Michael McCarron is going to get a 2nd then shoot for the stars. How is this a shock?

He’s a 3rd liner. If Tre rates him higher than that, well he will still be a Leaf next season.

The Man was Traded for Mitch Freaking Marner. The league must be out on notice

He cost us Marner. Of course the price is high

This is the kinda price you give when you don’t really want to trade him

  11. Friggin_Grease

Think we can get someone like Marner for him?

Pretty funny if none of the GM’s work with Pizza Boy, just so they can watch him drown.

Leafs logic: Roy and our 2028 first for a 4th line grinder = perfect

Good, you don’t win the deadline by asking low. Roy fits a role that virtually every playoff team every year wants to prioritize. Someone will hopefully pay a lot for him to fill that role

Fucking retain some salary and get a better pick. Leafs have the money

    Michael McCarron got a 2nd, so…shush.

Since he is under contract next year there is no point in trading him for nothing. He is a good, big, right-handed 3C on an okay team and 4th C on a good team. He is worth a late first.

Dickinson just got a goddamn first rounder.

Pretty common tactic. Start out with a high ask and get « negotiated » down to what you were hoping to actually get.
