@Predators de Nashville

    🤔 but the question is Will he actually waive his clause?

  2. Soto4Life

    His value will never be higher with us than it is now, so if he’s open to moving, then I think it’s a no brainer.

    Will be interesting to see if any of Stammer, Marchy or ROR actually move though…

    In the east huh, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and ~~Islanders~~ Carolina* I think have the best shot of fitting his cap. Id be surprised if Tampa wasnt one of them but wed have to retain and take something back on top of it.

    He probably wont waive anyway, but now that weve started selling maybe he changes his mind on that

    Ha I was just about to post this:

    « Trotz has been asked about Stamkos, and things can change with one phone call. But I heard it unlikely he would be moved now. »

    Haven’t both Stamkos and ROR come out and say they don’t want to leave and be part of building the team back up?

    I’m so confused. I thought he was clear he doesn’t want to go. He smartly got the nmc and plans on using it. Why do we keep seeing talk of him?

    Unless the return has maximum value, there’s no reason to do this. Not for Trotz. Stammer’s value would be the same in the Summer for a new GM. If the trade isn’t for a high-end prospect or young player, there’s no reason to make this happen now.

    Unfortunately it’ll never happen. Stammer has been one of my favorite players since he was drafted but with his trade value at the highest it’ll ever be with us this is our moment to move him and really get a good return.

    Unfortunately I just dont think he’s gonna waive his NMC.

    I would rather get rid of Marchessault and or Skjei but no one wants them, but we absolutely need to move him if we can, his stock will never be higher and all he’s doing is keeping us in the mushy non-playoff middle. I like having him on the team as well as anyone but the man wants to win and we ain’t doing much of that with no center depth or defense, etc.

    I know other disagree but I’d rather keep Stamkos for the intangibles. Experience from a multiple Cup winning Hall of Famer is important for a young team. Plus we need to hit the cap floor

    Please waive. The first signal that we are actually rebuilding is either ROR or Stamkos being traded. Probably the only time left on the Stamkos contract that we wouldn’t have to retain half to actually get something back.
