Wish him all the best wherever he gets shipped off to in the offseason.

  2. albinoredneck

At what point does he need to clear waivers?

  3. Gotta wonder why he was even brought up in the first place if Blashill was just going to bench him or barely going to give him any minutes when he did dress lol even when the Murphy trade talks were heating up they scrambled to get Del Mastro in the lineup instead..?

Wherever he is, he’d better spend time in the weightroom and sports psychologist over the summer. It feels like that year of getting his ass kicked in the NHL because he couldn’t play in the A fucked him up a bit.

Saw on Pope’s twitter that Kaiser is expected back in the lineup tomorrow. Pairings in practice today were:

    Vlasic – Crevier

    Kaiser – Rinzel

    Grzelcyk – Levshunov

Don’t overreact to this. Players have to be sent down for the trade deadline or they can’t be sent down at all afterwards.

But yeah if Kaiser is back there wasnt a spot anyways. I am more surprised he dudnt go back down immediately once it was clear Rinzel was good to go.

This is why you don’t draft purely offensive defencemen high. For every Quinn Hughes, Makar, Matt Schaefer there’s 100 Adam Boqvist, Victor Soderstrom or Kevin Korchinski.

What if we just supported Korch and the Hogs? Hopefully he gets an opportunity next year and proves himself. If not then yeah it will be disappointing.

Dude is still young and not all draft picks hit. And we can stash him and let him get it together in Rockford for rest of year.

Came to the comments to see all of the over-reactions to this move and Reddit did not disappoint.

I know this particular metric doesn’t mean much, and I know that draft class was not great, but Kevin Korchinski has **the** worst +/- of all the first round picks from the 2022 draft among players who actually played in the NHL. By a lot.

One other thing I think might lead to the end of Korchinski in the Chicago system is the Hawks are likely to pick 5 or 6 this year and all the 4-8 range prospects are defensemen, so might just take a chance on a new one could be KD thinking.

this is likely a paper move so he’s eligible for the AHL playoffs right?

As long as they’re sent down by 5pm EST tonight and called up before 5pm EST tomorrow they get credited with a day? Trade deadline is 3pm EST

Anyone on an NHL roster won’t be able to be sent down as of 3pm tomorrow. So likely we won’t see Lardis called up til 4:59pm

God forbid Grzelcyk doesn’t get his minutes lol

  15. Reptomins

That boy is gonna need to have an amazing training camp

  16. PreprerA

Probably gone next season unless he improves a lot come preseason

  17. AnxietyExact4710

I assume Kaiser’s injury wasn’t as bad as we once thought.

  18. Polakhockey

This was so that he can be eligible to play in AHL playoffs
