As a Rogers fan first and a Leafs fan second, I’m so glad we brought in Pelley to save us money on sports medicine and presidents of hockey operations. With him running the show we will always be profitable.

I don’t buy this at all. MLSE owns the Leafs, Raptors and a bunch of other assets under its organization, how is Forbes determining which profit is Leafs and which is Raptors?

If this is true, then NHL players are getting absolutely fleeced by the league. They should be making WAY more money. Their salaries are a joke compared to the other sports leagues. Owners are laughing all the way to the bank.
