The wildest part of this trade is if Perron doesn't play a single game with the Wings then Ottawa gets nothing in return which in turn would make this a complete cap dump of a trade.
You get an aging $4M retread when the other GMs won't return your calls. Over $10M in cap space and SY can't make a deal to save his life.
Will never forget Perron and his goal against Montreal with 5 seconds to go, to send the game to OT in game 82. Wings won the game in a shootout, which actually could have sent them to the playoffs if it wasn’t for the damn Flyers giving up an empty net goal to the Capitols in a 1-1 game. I didn’t want to see Perron go at the time. Hope he’s still got something left.
