  1. ……. Reading this makes me want to drive to Detroit and throat punch Stevie like WTH lol. WE NEED ACTUAL SCORERS AND DEFENSIVE DEFENSEMEN NOT A DINOSAUR!!!!!!!!

  2. Buffalo just aquiresLuke Schenn AND Stanley from Winnipeg . Someone just got much harder to play against. It wasn’t Detroit,

  3. Wtf is Perron is our big trade pickup so help me god. I've been on board with the yzerpman but this will be a bridge to far if he does nothing

  4. Perron is a good pickup for a fourth rounder. You don't want to sell the farm because you might be a wild card in the playoffs

  5. Love Perron! Glad he's back. How the hell did he end up in Ottawa???????he got suspended 2 years ago , for 4 games for standing up for Larkin!

  6. i like perron. i was disappointed when he left, but if this is the only trade steve makes, im going to be pretty pissed off. LITERALLY JUST GO FOR IT STEVE.

  7. Can't figure out what this move shows one day before the deadline.
    1. Is Yzerman confident about a big deal, and felt he could do even more
    2. Or is this a desperate move, just to get something because he doesn't want to overpay or pay market value yet again

Only time will tell, but if this is the only move, we are screwed

  8. Helps the 4th line and the 2nd PP. We still need a RD and a 2nd C. If the price is too high for Faulk, then go after Nemec, he's worth a higher return because he could be a potential core piece.

  9. guys the Finnie-Kasper-Appleton line is playing so well it's not getting broken up anytime soon. Which means Perron can get elevated to the 2nd line to dig pucks and snipe for Raymond and Copp which reunites Debrincat-LArkin-Kane or the Debrincat-Copp-Kane line can be restored with Perron-Larkin-Raymond getting some run. Otherwise if Perron plays 3rd line it would be Perron-Compher-JVR or Perron-Rasmussen-JVR and somebody is going to have to be elevated from GR to play top line or a trade. Detroit could try either MBN or Mazur to play with Larkin and Raymond. They both would be fine if given a chance Neither would have worse results than the line has produced all season and the remainder of the lineup would have balanced scoring for the first time in years.

  10. 2026 first, Kasper or Danielson, Plante (first round in a redraft, one of the best NCAA players) and another second or prospect

That is 3 first round picks equivalent+

Need to keep ASP and the goalies

Trade forward prospects if we can there are a lot of them now, MBN, Danielson, Bear, Plante, Buchelnikov, Kasper, Finnie, Mazur, Genborg. On defense we are really lite, don’t know if guys like Wallinder, Buium, Anton Johansson, Brady Cleveland even have a future for the nhl (mostly bottom pair or fringe nhlers)

We do have Postava and Gyllander as goalie prospects we can give up. But Cossa and Trey are not for sale yet

  11. If Perron is the tip of the iceberg, great. If he's the deadline premium, we're toast. Most likely will miss the playoffs by 1 point again. If he's even able to play. We need depth now, not two months from now.

  12. Scotty… Why give up our future.. For Thomas.. Just go lose first or second anyways? That doesn't make sense. You just want a playoff loss.. We can get that without our future… Thomas isn't mcdavid.. He's also in a weaker conference and hurt. Your so far off here with this take

  13. Perron was only getting 10 plus minutes as he is recovering from a sports hernia hence the conditional 4th round pick. He is just a rental…and highly smells like a Brad Holmes move. Why are all the Detroit GMs so darn conservative, unwillingness to make an impactful trade or signing. I was hoping Yzerman would be different but here we are…
