He was a good player for us.

  2. RashfordMBE

2028 2nd is pretty brutal, but better than holding onto him I guess. Wish we didn’t make moves to try to convince Quinn to stay ffs

  3. GenerationEh

2028, eh? Guess I finally have a reason to hope the world lasts that long.

  4. Chedda_biscuit10

Damn 2028, was hoping for 2026 STL 2nd but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose.

Was extremely fun when it was fun…

    Co-Nor Gar-Land !

  5. theEMPTYlife

Maybe I’m weird but they should list the picks by year not by round IMO

  6. Sarcastic__

I would have liked any number of different assets coming back, but I’m glad we moved off the contract and got picks back. Big W. Let’s move onto Blueger, Kampf, and Kane next.

I’m not unhappy with the return, but with like 5 teams apparently in on him I’m surprised it was such a simple return and fairly underwhelming

Never forget garland game 1 against the oilers 🫡🥲

  9. Shiro-12

How on earth did we not get this year’s 2nd rounder instead from them?

  10. RelevantJackWhite

Very odd to me that the reporting had six teams interested, none of whom were CBJ. The same thing also happened with both Myers and Hughes, Dallas and Minny came out of nowhere. Lots of chatter on all three but the destinations were all wrong.

I wonder what’s going on there. Did the original buyers break down, did the reporters get fed bad info, are they guessing? did the canucks only leak buyers who were already out to put pressure on the buying team?

Lost both our tallest and shortest players in like two days

  12. BlurTriX

    No salary retained, good trade.

    Take it easy, G!

  13. Another pick this year and 1 down the line. Accumulate!

  14. Goodbye my sweet prince..

    Lots of old memes around…

    CONNOR « FUCKING » GARLAND

*DA DA DADAD DA DA DA DA DUN*

We need to be honest about what type of player garland is, he’s an undersized fwd who couldn’t cut it in the top 6 with Miller or Petey, at his best he’s the puck dominant carrier on a 3rd line.

He also isn’t great on the PP & can’t PK.

What did you all realistically expect? the fact we got out of this without retaining or taking on a bad contract is a massive W.

We need all the picks we can get for the next few years. IMO columbus will be worse off in 3 yrs too lol

  16. TheAvocad00

For a 29-year-old with a bad contract? It’s not what I wanted to see but it is what we should’ve expected.

  17. SoggyDrinkohNo

With 6mill cleared I REALLY hope we take back a bad contract tomorrow for a 1st round pick. Otherwise a 2028 2nd is brutal.

  18. Feisty_Dirt4191

The return is pretty modest, but it’s fine. He’s having a tough season and his market is going to be shrunk to the number of teams who want him not just now but for another 5 years.

Getting another chip this year and another one for down the road while moving off long term money for a guy who wasn’t going to be part of the long term solution is a win

  19. lulover88

Good luck Conor ! Nice tidy deal. Retained nada!!! The rebuild is on !

  20. We must really be rebuilding for a long ass time cause that locker room looks brutal lol

  21. Past_Zebra1155

    Dylan Guenther for a 2028 2nd, a 3rd, and a -$15M cap penalty over the next 5 years 🔥🥵

    Organizational masterclass.

  22. Brenden-C

I was laughing so hard at the thread where a bunch of people were saying Kent Johnson for Garland. Reality must be hitting some of you guys like a brick wall right now LOL

  23. therocksays13

The extension really screwed them over. Maybe next time don’t make so many short sighted moves trying to impress one player.

  24. robrenfrew

Allvin won’t even be around to make that 2028 pick.

  25. Alberto_Balsalam

No salary retained and picks in return. Good to see, but damn I’ll miss him. Watching him and Joshua play on the same line a few years back was magic.

  27. EuphoricWorker9113

Solid, honest player who brought it every night.

  28. junk222

Even with unimpressive returns, getting out of that 6-year commitment without any salary retention is huge. For once Allvin did what was needed to be done at TDL.

Next should be Blueger, Kane and Kampf.

  29. pinkpepper81

If they’re cleaning house can Allvin and Rutherford be next

  30. friggen_epic

Probably one of the better Canucks of the last 5 years and certainly one of the most fun to watch. Happy to have had him but good lord the Ekman-Larsson trade was all-time terrible.
