What a move by Danny! Right hand D, top 10 just a few years ago, wow! I grade the move an A+ for the Flyers for filling a desirable need long term. Brink is a good player, but stuck in a log jam at wing here in philly where he isn't going to grow.

Absolutely worth a shot. Flyers have players in the pipeline who can give them what Brink provides. It often takes defensemen a little while longer to find themselves and I love that Briere is getting creative to try and find a top pairing defenseman. It is a calculated gamble he had to take.
