NOUS SOMMES l’endroit où prendre sa retraite, qui nous accompagnera pendant la prochaine décennie à moins qu’Haslam ne fasse pousser quelques couilles et n’embauche quelqu’un d’audacieux, frais et avec une vision et s’en tienne réellement à une reconstruction complète.
Une autre année à gagner, à perdre, à obtenir un choix intermédiaire et à être putain de milieu. Putain. Vraiment frustré et déçu. Les mots ne coûtent pas cher. Les mesures prises par Barry au cours de son mandat de directeur général ont été si écrasantes et infructueuses. Respectez-le en tant qu’entraîneur pendant qu’il était ici, de la même manière que je respecte la façon dont O’Reilly a joué ici. Mais tu dois prendre une putain de décision.

I didn’t watch the presser but I agree with what you’re saying.
It makes absolutely zero sense why we wouldn’t try and trade players like ror, Stamkos, Marchy, even Josi at the deadline. We are dead in the water right now with not enough young good prospects and a lot of older declining players. We need as much youth and as many draft picks as possible. We need to bottom out and suck for a year or two.
Also if anyone says “well we want to keep those pieces so the new GM can decide what to do with them in the summer”. Those players are only losing value and it was at its peak this deadline, particularly for stamkos. If we hire a GM that would have disagreed with selling stamkos for picks/prospects then we hired the wrong fucking gm

We already have more picks than we have space in the prospect pipeline, and eventually these olds will have their contracts run out and it will before we are even close to the end of a hockey rebuild. It’s gonna be 4-6 years. Stamkos and marchessault’s contracts will run out before this team is competitive again.

Haslam is a dingus, his brother is too. This is gonna be the way things are, unfortunately. Been in Knoxville since the 1970s and those Haslam kids would be working minimum wage if they weren’t born into it.
Haula probably should have gone but they got rid of the other expiring contracts and some of the other possibilities preferred to stay.
It is so exhausting seeing that we have so many fans who know so little about hockey.
We need experienced centers to play with the kids coming up from the AHL. Bringing them up to have them flounder in the NHL would not help their development at all.
Clearly the organization(not just Trotz) set a value on what it was with to keep them, and no one met that price
