Dach over Demi is just stupid
35 has cost us so many points this year.

takeaways in no particular order:
– not our best game, but i’ll take the point – all of them count at this point.
– kid line was fun while it lasted, but great to see top line back together. Slaf immediately gets two points, Suzuki 1g1a, and Cole being Cole with a killer game.
– i love Kapanen and think he’s gonna be a great 3C but i might try something like Dach-Newhook-Demi. do like Bolduc-Evans-Kapanen or something.
– Hutson-Dobson should be a pair forever.
– defense is brutal lately. Guhle needs to play on the left imo. i wouldn’t hate them giving Reinbacher a few games to try and balance things out a bit without having to over-rely on Carrier on the right. may give us better minutes than Xhekaj.
– Monty man, it’s not great. Dobeš wasn’t much better the other night even though i would ride him a bit. i wouldn’t be shocked if Fowler makes a playoff appearance.
– Kent not overpaying today was a good reminder that this team isn’t fully constituted. and we’re already fun as hell to watch. can’t take a playoff spot for granted, going to be a fun race.

I hope one day they figure out how to close out a game in regulation. The amount of times we got scored on in the dying minutes of a game is impressive.
Can’t win a game with Monty. I understand this sub is 50 50 with him but those were some soft goals tonight. Gotta get more out of him, and from this team when he’s in net.

Why are people hating on the Dach in a shootout choice?
Going into tonight he was 4/6.
Good goaltending or not, but the defence has been absolutely brutal recently
2 games in a row with a multi goal 3rd period comeback. This one we had a lead in the final couple minutes. A powerplay in overtime. 10 goals scored over the two games.
And 1 point to show for it.
Last game I ever want to fucking see Monty play. He has cost this team dearly all year.

Montembeault has had his chances at a certain point enough is enough lol babying him is really not going to help the team

And they can’t keep a lead for shit and what the hell is that defense?
Montembeault let in two easy goals from long distance. I’ll take the point but that was a very winnable game. For so many years with Price our main issue was offence but now that we have good forwards our main issues are goaltending and defence.
There’s nothing more predictable than this team getting scored on 6-on-5. Fucking do something.
On the one hand, we should have won this one, but at the same time I find it impossible to argue that we *deserved* to win this one, because the team was sloppy as hell for almost the entire game and then when they finally got the lead they did what they almost always do, give it up, and then couldn’t score in OT despite the other team having the puck for about twenty seconds and them having a power play, and then having multiple chances to win in the shootout.
Monty wasn’t great tonight but the defense need to step up a bit to help our goalie

Scoring 10 goals in two road games and only getting 1 point is simply unacceptable.

Come back from down 2, immediately get the lead, shit the bed defensively in the last couple of minutes and let the other team tie, dominate the OT then lose the shootout

This actually pisses me off. Two games with 10 goals scored and you don’t fucking win either game? Against a young San Jose and Anaheim? And now you’re going to blow it against LA because I can smell it from here. Downvote me all you want, but letting in the first two shots he faced and was complete ass this entire game, even more so than the defence in front of him, I never want to see Montembeault in a Habs jersey again. Go make another goalie mask or star in another McDonald’s commercial, just stay away from the net. I’m so disappointed in this team. At some point, the excuse of them being a young team is not good enough. You’re a point behind Detroit and Boston is catching up, you cannot afford to lose these games. GUYS, wake the fuck up!
