I think Schenn takes Lee’s place. This trade tells me that Lee is likely gone after the season. Also I’m really happy to resign Pageau.
The Problem is those 2 Draft picks were given to us for Brock Nelson and this ends up the Trade we need Young players in our prospect pool No players over 30 years old WTF and JGP 3 years Extension why He could have gotten a great trade package for him Totally Wrong Direction
Not a good showing for this time around. Really was hoping we would get a goal scorer. Lee 2.0 wasn’t on my radar.
Good to have some grit on the ice for Schaefer but unless something else is brewing I’m afraid this doesn’t make us a contender

Lee is leaving, Schenn has grit and knows what it takes to win a cup, and everyone is complaining about what we gave up. You gave up a pick from the avs that will be at the end of the first in a draft that is not going to be great but incredibly average outside of the top ten. A third rounder which you can find value in but again isn’t some gold mine of talent outside the top ten and a goalie prospect whom will never be utilized unless sorokin is leaving, especially with gamzin in the pipeline. Drouin hasn’t worked out. I only wish we somehow could’ve added a clause in the trade where somehow engvall is involved and is sent to the moon so we don’t have to pay him. This was not a bad trade considering to get average players that have been overhyped to the max like kyrou you would’ve have to given up a top tier prospect which would’ve been idiotic. Overhyped in a seller’s market and would’ve paid way too much and regretted it. There is nothing here we’ll regret losing later on.

Felt it was pretty costly. Not moving the needle much for us. He is hardworking and another Pageau type is decent but I am not thrilled by what we gave up for it.
