As an Islanders fan the only thing I'm annoyed we gave up was the 1st. Drouin has been a body.
I also hate we haven't been able to just target scoring wingers. Schenn exerbates our problems we're an old team with little wing depth.
Armstrong won the deadline, period
As much as I get it and completely respect Schenn. But man am I going to miss him. He was the captain, a true hard working guy that represented the fans and community. Thank you for all the years on the ice. Man am I going to miss him.
And the Isles are doing this without Palmieri and Romanov. Tavares any regrets??
Drouin was HORRIBLE here, see ya, the goalie was number 5 on the depth chart.
As usual Jesse is the only one with a correct take here. Blues have tons of young talent. They aren’t tearing anything down.

I think that it only ended up being a 1st and a 3rd because we had to dump Drouin. Gidlof is our 2nd best goalie prospect, but the rumor was that they were thinking about trading Danny Nelson which would have been a disaster. It's an ok trade; I don't think I would have made it but it's fine.
Jesse has it on the money. You can be annoyed about the will they-won't they trade potentials but trading Thomas/Kyrou/Parayko just to trade them makes no sense. It needs to be for a ridiculous haul. Barring that, they're not that old, you can deal with it later or continue to use your really really good players that demand that much trade capital. Blues have a ton of great young players, they're not mired in anything.

Dubas traded Jarry and his contract – with no retention – for Skinner, a second, and Kulak – who turned into another second and Girard. Therefore – NO ONE had a better GM season than Dubas. 😂😂
I"m gunna miss Schenn man, that was the last bit of grit that team still had. Sick of seeing Kyrou in a Blues uniform though, trade him next please.

A character guy for sure. Isles unique team. Small market loyal fans. Area developing around the arena. Hate to lose a #1 in a deep draft. Not sure their young up and coming players are that good but Darche has learned from the current best. Question is if Isles make playoffs and maybe win a round, was it worth it? Is this team really trying to rebuild? The farm system is still bare.
Remember Adam this week saying they wouldn’t get close to last years value?

How the hell did Darche have a good deadline? He got anally smoked without lube. All of that for a guy who's cashed? Are you kidding? And Lee and Pageau are 87 years old and not that good with expiring deals and they have Schaffer who's 18. They're not winning the Cup. Tell me how it makes sense.

Seems insane to trade a first rounder for a guy with 20 points who’s 34 for a team that was trying to get younger. Also, how would you say Islanders had good deadline combining their earlier deals and not include Penguins earlier deals getting Chinakhov and Girard while still adding draft picks.
