@Oilers d'Edmonton

Jake Walman a été absolument injouable cette saison et il a été statistiquement pire que Nurse qui a également été mauvais.

Walman starts the 1st year of a 7 year deal next season at double his current salary.

They hated Bruce cuz he told them the truth huge reader of his Substack and he’s telling it like it is

  3. anomalocaris_texmex

I was so impressed with him last playoff run, but now we’re seeing the Jake Walman that the Wings paid to get off their team.

Hopefully he can get his head on straight and recapture his form.

    Buckle up boys!

We got a new whipping boy

  5. MarlinMan2001

thank god the Oilers payed a 1st rounder to get him and then signed him long term 🤦‍♂️

  6. BigOk9909

Here comes the next decade of darkness 😂 Christ man to be n oilers fan.

  7. flyingflail

Man got his bag and stopped caring I fear

Should never have been activated from LTIR. This guy is not healthy. Not at all. For everything he usually does well, he needs his skating (that’s why his contract will be bad in the last years). But he falls over the ice like Ekholm after he came back injured in the playoffs

  9. RYYZNYELLOW

Dudes been playing on his wrong side all year. No shit lol

  10. This sounds about right but he has been forced to play a side he is not comfortable playing. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt.

  11. We can point fingers all we want but 5 goals against per game is atrocious. 55 goals against in 12 games. Man I cant even. Thats what we’re going into the playoffs with

  12. bluesourpatch

Lots of teams have one Dman that needs to be sheltered, but we have three of them, and we’ll pay them $26 million next season

  13. Electrical-Pitch-297

Put him back on IR for 2 weeks

  14. GirlyFootyCoach

Easy fix. Play neither 5v5, or in the last 5 minutes of the game…..

Or when we are shorthanded or on the power play

Or when there are other oilers on the ice

Or when there are fans in the stands …

Wallman’s game hasn’t been good, but he has been playing his offside, while nurse hasn’t, so it’s not an apples to apples comparison.

What will be telling is how he plays the rest of the season now that we have another right hand d.

We need both of them playing better.

As long as we can make it to the playoffs, then things will get interesting, I honestly think the playoff cap is a wildcard that may take a while to adjust to. I expect some pretty wild results for the next few years, so buckle up.

  16. Educational_Effect_9

He was so amazing last playoffs too. Pretty much made up for ekholm being out and some. Gotta believe there’s an injury at play

  17. Fragrant-Policy4182

Rough but I’m not sure how you blame MGMT when Walman had been so dynamite for us up until this point.

  18. Lopsided_Deer_7390

Bowman is such an egotistical fuck. Just cause you trade for a guy doesn’t mean he needs to be signed to a max extension. Complete joke between Walman and Frederic.

  19. Starsky686

The guy missed more games than he’s played for these stats, he’s playing on his off side on a generally terrible defensive team, covering for Nurse.

Anyone consider he’s still got some lingering injury and doesn’t have spring NHL wind back yet? Naw he must be terrible. He must have forgotten how he saved our playoffs with Ekholm out. This is definitely the real Walman for sure, I say from my couch.

  20. External-Quote3263

Couldn’t help but laugh when Walman basically scissored Jarry for that goal against.

  21. BBQMosquitos

The oilers know how to grind down everyone and bring out their worst.

  22. purple_parachute_guy

I do wish Bowman had been more patient in re-signing him. There was no reason to rush that, and signing him now would have resulted in a lower AAV.

Having said that, if he can get over his injuries and play on the left more routinely, I think he’ll bounce back.

  23. RedKryptnyt

Its about time this fanbase started recognizing how fucked this team is.

Such a damn shame. This was a good team.

    So fucking unacceptable.

  24. He should be on IR for the next 10 games minimum, something is still really fucking him up. You don’t go from being a very solid D-man to a pylon without something causing it.

  25. Objective-Apple7805

    That’s a big ouchie.

That reminds me, I need to grab Bruce for another lunch. Good dude.

  26. ConsiderationDull383

injured at the start. has never fully recovered. needs a long recovery period.

  27. Chronixx780

He forsure playing through a injury .

  28. Let’s give him some actual time on his natural side before we make him into yet another whipping boy, please?

  29. Patient_Bet4635

I think they were talking about a missed call or something on the previous shift. You can see Freddy having a wtf face and Roslovic seemingly still upset about something as well, I think they also played a shift together beforehand, they’re all still breathing hard.

  30. greendino71

This is why you don’t overpay players for 1 good stint

    Classic oilers

  31. HarveyTheRedPanda

We only have 4 good players really.

  32. Temporary-Concept-81

Yeah but he is leading the oilers in hype cellys this season.
