The Hurricanes are a well coached team that grinds down the opposition with strong depth and hard work. They're built to defeat teams that are top heavy, relying on a few stars to carry them. On that first goal against it looked like Walman was trying to murder his own goalie with his skate to the point where he deserved an own goaltender interference penalty.
The core is rotten and past the due date. McDavid is a horrible 2-way player… Bouchard is not interested in playing actual NHL defense (looks like a bar league/roller hockey kid out there)… He's an All-Time Quarterback posing as a defender… Nurse is straight up dumb. Low IQ player… the same with Walman… RNH does nothing 5v5…
It'd be nice if this team had an actual coach to lay into these Sad Boy millionaires instead of a milquetoast suburban dad who looks like he flogs himself if he misses church.

Can I raise my hand here and say that the Skinner + Kulak – Jarry trade will go down as one of the worst trades in Oilers history. Just imagine if the Oilers had waited until the trade deadline. Probably could have added Stolarz, Bobrovsky or Binnington if so inclined.
This is the point where you put the top guys into low minute maintenance mode, and miss the playoffs. Buyout Jarry the second game 82 ends, fire Knob and his entire staff before his extension kicks in. Henrique, gone. Janmark, gone. GET AN ACTUAL GOALIE.

Primo or not the Flames were able to beat them, stop giving them excuses. This team won't win a series, they are underwhelming.
