Great audio
I don’t want to keep beating a dead horse, and don’t want to be an online doomer- but, for the future of this team, Tocchet needs to go at the end of the season. I’m sure he’s a great person. But, “trying Michkov out” at his natural position and “having thoughts on it” show that he is incapable of getting past his preconceived notions on who Michkov is as a player and what is best for the long term success of the team.
All I want is for the Flyers to be good again. I dream of it. Tocchet is not the guy to get them there. Before this turns into another Hakstol situation, please just move on at seasons end.

I’ll be branded a Flyers idiot for saying this, but this dude is a full blown narcissist. Charlie asked him a simple question and he immediately got defensive and then queues of a Florida reference to justify his actions. His felt his ego threatened. Same as when he was challenged at the carnival. Believe me or not, but if you have worked with people with personality disorders then you see it clear as day.
Hoping this is like year 1 of trots and tocchet opening it up alittle for year 2.

Rick Tocchet is entirely disconnected from reality. Michkov's success IS The Flyers' success — they are one and the same. This adversarial mindset has no place in the org. How on Earth is it so puzzling to Tocchet that Michkov "wants to try it"? He's not trying anything. He's been a right wing his entire career.
If we are at the point of management having to force the head coach to do something as basic as play their (hopeful) future franchise player at his natural position — and Tocchet's words here suggest the decision was not his own — then the org must dismiss this coach ASAP. My goodness, what a fumble this coaching hire was.
I am tired of rebuild Tochett is good but as long comcast owns this team it’s not going to happen.

I'm 71, I was proud too see Toccett be the new coach, because of his past with the Flyers, But now, NOT so much, I wish he would stop interviews, He's constantly telling other teams how we improved, shut your mouth MAN, talk to reporters 2 times a month, NOT every other Day, And could please stop calling with NIC names, like their BABIES, And no one person knows all these BABY names in an interview interviewing interview

Tocchet is a great MEDIA guy, coach not so much
He has this thoughts on Michkov wanting to play his natural position?? WTH. The disdain for Michkov is evident. There is nothing Michkov can do to ever please this jerk. He refuses to give the kid a chance. Coaches last 2-3yrs around here. Michkov is a cornerstone of a “rebuild”. The player is more important, especially since this organization already blew the Cutter situation. If Michkov demands a trade, we lose value again.
Taco needs to be let go at the end of the season. That money is on Comcast. He can go back to TNT. His dump & chase style is boring & not suited for our players, whom excel playing a rush based offense. His weaponizing media outlets/personalities is concerning. His reluctance to develop Zegras at C, & Michkov appropriately is aggravating. His teams are known to have low shooting percentage, again, not conducive to our players. He is an alleged Russiaphobe who also has a problem w elite players (Keller, Pettersson, Kuzmenko, Podkolzin, & Michkov).
The product is the team (the players). Not the coach. He clearly had his own agenda, which veered from the organization’s. Maybe Brad Shaw will come back. If not, promote Todd Reirden to HC. He did a great job w Ovi in WSH. He did great filling in here. He speaks Russian & is good with defenseman. Win-win. Enough w the bs.
