  1. LFG, let’s score and keep going, DONT SIT BACK, DONT let teams hang around!!! A lot of games are alot harder than it really should or had to be!!! Also you end up saving entry because you don’t need to go to OT and SO!!

  2. Wait the Aves win in a SO?! I just watched there post game and I thought they won by ten goals in regulation.

  3. Rudo.. love ya buddy, but that’s a pretty weak take about suggesting Burns should sit a game and lose his iron man streak. His time on ice and when he plays definitely needs to be utilized better, but for you to suggest that his iron man streak be broken based off of some poor plays is honestly not cool, and I’m glad that AJ called you out on it and shut it down. I’m honestly taken back a bit that you would even think that would ever be something the Avs should entertain the idea of doing… just such a dumb thing to say, man. You’re better than that

  4. Perfect weekend.-ok not perfect. That would've been 2 reg wins,& Landy not get hurt -but damn near. Today wasn't looking good after shorthanded goal,& Dallas came within 13 seconds from being just 2 pts back of us & 5 on Minny had we lost both in regulation.(Dallas woon in OT tonight). Instead i7 pts on Dallas, with tiebreaker likely,& 1 in hand. Those saying Central is over -not true. But getting quasi close,& Minny is pretty close to done. 10 pts back-really 11 as we already have tiebreaker. 2 games in hand for us,& no head to heads left. Dallas is a bit different story. 7 pts back,we have 1 in hand,& PROBABLY have tiebreaker-though not 100% yet. Main reason they aren't quite done is 2 head to head matchups left.

And crazy part these 2 HUGE games weren't close to best,& most important things this weekend. We all know what that was-Blankenburg,Roy,& ESPECIALLY Kadri. I'd put Kulak trade in also cuz he filled big need stylistiically that Girard couldn't & cap savings helped with Kadri. Other great news was what everybody else in the West DID NOT do-especially the Central. Ana got Carlson,& UT got Weeger which makes both better. But I think they both (& SJ) are at least a yr away from true Cup contenders,& not like those guys are transformative. Carlson used to be,& he's still good but not elite anymore. Had Utah got Thomas,& Weeger-different story.

But Vegas couple minor acquisitions,& Edmonton got better at 3C & like #4 or #5 dman-but nothing earth shattering. Most important-Dallas,& Minny are better,& deeper today. Buntings a good 3rd line wing,& Dallas did address bottom d pair hole. But only with mediocre Myers-whos basically just big. Their cap & asset situation is tough but I feared theyd do more. Minny probably improved more than Dallas overall. Brink was a good move,McCaron is a good 4C,& got Foglino for nothing-like we did with Blakenberg. But Minny not addressing 2C hole yet is huge.(or even quasi 1C-depending who plays where) Similar to WPG last yr-thats their 1 remaining big hole. Had they got Trochek,ROR-even Coyle to lesser degree-things could look a lot different.

Or my worst nightmare double whammy-had we not got Kadri,& he ended up there. Last deadline looked like Nelson would go there,& even this summer. Had we not traded for Brock,& resigned him last summer-good chance he's 2C in Minny now. Seems Naz wasn't going to Minny. Not sure they wanted his cap hit,& term. And sounds like only us & MAYBE Montreal he was gonna go to. But we don't know for sure. To think we now have both guys who could be playing top 6 center for them-is huge reversal. Kadri gonna play a lot of wing with Lehky,& Landy out. But in theory-our eventual 3C is better than their 2C.(or quasi 1C) Our insurance "5C"-whos gonna play a lot of wing (Roy)-is better than their 3C. And I'd say our 4C Drury is no worse than a push with their 4C McCarron.

Still say Mcfarland did great last yr-even with Mico. And has done everything possible & then some this yr. No guarantees of course-but he's assembled best roster. We SHOULD Have at least 2 more shots after this yr-all our quasi important guys signed through at least next yr. But THIS IS OUR BEST SHOT! With cap situation-almost certain Drury,& either Nuke or Colton get traded this summer. Who cares now-just glad they all here still. But Ana,SJ,& Utah will only get better. Great chance UT gets Thomas or somebody this summer/next deadline,& Minny gets Trochek or somebody. Both have assets to go all in-when maybe we are just bit less deep,& talented-like 2023-granted we shouldn't lose near as many as that summer-with COVID flat cap.

But UT,Ana,& maybe SJ probably get playoff experience this yr. LA,& Sea serm bout to spend big,& Oilers,Dallas,& Vegas don't seem done yet. AVS did exact right thing by going all in. Gotta AT LEAST get 1 more Cup next 3 yrs-then everything is justified. Mico trade,Nelson trade & resigning, both Coyle trades,Naz,overpaying for Roy,Kulak trade-all is 100% justified with 1 more Cup-no matter how any of it ages. Like Lehkonen,& Manson trades-nobody remembers or cares about assets given up. When ya won in 2022-made it more than worth it. Won't be easy but this deadline made it far more likely by what we did do,& almost as important-what others DIDNT do in the West-in my opinion.
