Why was is this goal scored as unassisted? Shouldn’t Chinakov get an assist?

That was absolutely interference by Erik Karlsson. It should’ve been called.
However, Pasta definitely oversold it, which ultimately worked against his case.
Also, even though that was clearly interference, it is only called about 40% of the time, so it’s not an egregious no call.
Personally, I would prefer that they call that kind of thing more rigidly. I think it would make for a better game. However, that’s a much larger discussion.
