Can't speak for anyone else, but this team has looked disconnected most of this season. There are multiple reasons as to how they arrived at this forgettable spot, but Tavares (+10 last season) is -22, Domi -21, Knies -17, Rielly -16, Maccelli -13 & Benoit -13 is part of their issues. McCabe was +23 at one point in December, but has regressed badly in Jan/Feb & is now only +8. This team looks confused & inept in the D-zone and as far as I'm concerned that is a systems thing. Either the players not 'buying in' or their D-zone schemes just don't work with this group of players. I remember watching Detroit under Lalonde looking much the same way when he was head coach. Now he's here as an assistant & the Leafs are looking like Detroit used to. Coincidence? I have no animus towards Berube or Lalonde, but this team is a reflection on them & it's bad look.
