i was at my parents’ house watching the game with family last night and in the middle of the game my brother says something like « excited about tomorrow, i’m hearing rumblings about a Hendrickson signing » and i was like what the fuck are you talking about, who is Hendrickson
turns out he just randomly decided to start talking about football in the middle of that game. i was like how did your brain make it over to football right now dude. i like football as much as the next guy but not in March

Even in bad years the Bills have always dominated Buffalo sports. That said, it’s great to have the Sabres back.

In fairness I’m just not a fan of the NFL. Everyone was talking Bills around me and I was just wishing it was October because hockey

I’d run through a wall for Lindy and the boys at this point

They had their « Josh Allen » moment last night.

I’ve got Bills fatigue. Just tired of the doing “just enough to be competitive, but not swinging big and sacrificing the future”. That turned out great Beane…Now we’re only like 20million over the cap and top 5 in spending on the most unimpressive WR room in the league and also overpaying A mediocre TE2 like a TE1. Lot of good that did us, eh?

As a proud Bills and Sabres season ticket holder for the past 5 years, football sucks. Love the Bills, but hockey is way more exciting at an elite level. Also, Sabres have a dome 👀

Hockey was HOCKEY! last night. Thank you Buffalo Sabres for not backing down from the Tampon Bully Lightweights and for bringing back the REAL game. Your passion is infectious! Set the tone boys! Ya gotta set the tone!

I like the Bills but I’m die hard Sabres and have been for 30 years. I got more excited last night than I did for any of the Bills playoff games

Buffalo has always been a hockey town. People just forget because of the past 15 years

No more shout song chants at Sabres games then?

That game was the Bills vs Chiefs game but it went our way and for some reason I never had that doubt like I do with the Bills. I just felt like every time we would battle back, this team has so much heart. The difference between hockey and football being we don’t need one super star. The entire team showed up, the super stars didn’t need to do everything when the other pieces were grinding just as hard and playing their role. That mental fortitude playing like there’s absolutely nothing to lose has been insane. They’ve been at rock bottom. They know the only place to go is up. Tampa has expectations that puts mental stress on a group. The Sabres are exceeding anything and everything ever expected of them this season. The vibes in that locker room have to be fucking crazy. I’ve been in locker rooms that start rolling when they shouldn’t have. The boys start clicking. That extra effort is put in, you start playing for the guy next to you and that passion bleeds onto the ice. It’s infectious. Momentum is so unbelievably real. 70% of this game is the mental aspect of it.
