This is not a playoff team the underlying numbers prove it third worst in the league on 5 on 5 goals negative goal differential I get our position in the standings put a team like Florida a team that is still gritty still strong has managed to beat us and disappointing ways twice in the last week and guess what we get to play Tampa on Thursday they may make the playoffs but it's going to be a quick 4 to 5 game series and now we're a playoff team without a first-round pick which I don't think was a horrible trade but I don't know if it truly was time I'm not a superstitious person but since this month has started we've had two injuries scares with Gibson which let's be honest it's been one of the big parts of the reason we're currently where we are in the standings Larkin did get injured and has missed his second game now and based off of the way it looks Andrew cops Seasons probably over and we've lost three games in regulation Buffalo looks like they want to make a run at the Stanley Cup this year and then there's Detroit there's valid in legitimate concerns about this team not everyone can be in the Pacific Division and we're not one of them
