Seems like he’s been all over the place in the USHL, OHL, and NCAA recently but a 6’2″ winger with (hopefully) some offensive upside going to the Phantoms isn’t bad. Especially for a late round pick.

I haven’t played nhl games in years, but back in the day you used to be able to hit like R1 or whatever at the BeAFranchise Home Screen for your save file and it would immediately swap the entire mode to your AHL team.

I say this entirely in jest, but there’s times it feels like this season was Danny’s version of swapping to your AHL team and going hog wild. Which, I guess, not ironically, if your headspace as a GM is “we’re fucked til we get rid of this Coots contract” and “I think it’s a good idea to lock Christian Dvorak up at term” then it’s good to just focus on AHL stuff.

With that being said, a big wing on the phantoms is a good thing.

I saw him play when he was on Ohio State. Didn’t stand out, although he was young. Hopefully he’s developed.

Funny story – Briere was also there scouting him (game was at Princeton). Got a pic with Briere – nobody else at the game seems to know who Briere was!

i think this puts us at 48 contracts. idk if it counts tho cause it doesn’t start till next season.

so assuming it does count and martone is signed to play this season we have 1 more spot open.

hmm…is this an nhl or ahl move? would this be another dorwart/kaplan type thing where he plays at the nhl level for the end of the year?

edit: currently not listed on the official nhl roster, guess not then.
