I have seen Monty stand on his head for the worst teams in the league, only to be solved the following night. He’s a great goaltender for a different team. I do not think that Fowler is ready for prime time, but Doby has, out of the three of them, earned a chance at being the starting goaltender.

If it was just to replace Monty I’d be fine with it, but I have a feeling Dobeš is gonna pay the price as well. They’ll want to play Fowler so at best they’ll split the games between the two, at worse we’ll have the goaltender who has the second best point percentage in the league playing second fiddle to an AHL rookie.

So this isn’t random « just to test things out ». Fowler might be up for good.
Habs confirmed no goalie is sick (from what Cole caught)
EDIT: Laval also called up Hunter Jones from Trois-Rivières, and are playing in Utica & Syracuse Friday/Saturday. So looks even more like Fowler is here for good.
