As a Sabres fan. I can tell you this guy is a complete casual. A minute in. Pronounces Dahlin’s name wrong. Lists Owen Power as a player that’s talked about when real Sabres fans know he hasn’t been relevant like a 1st D pick should be. Jack Quinn has been in trade talks this season too because of his streaky play. Guy is on the wagon and ain’t denying it with his “analyssis”
This is the Time for the Sabers to Shine for a long Time!!!
GO SABERS!!!!!❤
I think that people undervalue what Alex Lyon has done for Buffalo, and for UPL….. I am on the “Lyon for playoffs” train…..UPL has been really good, but Lyon has been a brick wall
You didn’t even mention ostlund who has been fantastic this season! He’s young and this is his first full season on the big club!
big hockey fan love to scan all the teams pod casters you my friend run 1 of the better 1's well informed to the point usually very spot on opinions keep up the good work very enjoyable stick with it 1 issue is its Sab-RES not ers LOL Best of Luck put in the work can see you advancing in this field
The final return on the Jack Eichel trade was a major win for Buffalo: Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, Noah Ostland, and Jordan Greenway. Alex Tuch – on his own – is having a better season than Eichel. Yes, you read that right. Tuch is a better goal scorer. Tuch is a much better penalty killer. Jack is a much better playmaker. Jack is a better possession player. I'll take Tuch. Now that Vegas no longer has a hall of fame defense corps, Jack's team doesn't look so great.
Its a freakin FREIGHT TRAIN!
The Sabres are the anti-Leafs. Full of heart. Full of grit. Full of skill.
Not built for "playoff hockey" which has a decidedly "let them play" "keep the whistle in your pocket" nature. Nice regular season story, but the clutch n grab, extra curricular activity, and cheap shots does not suit this young skilled roster. Need more "jamb" to their game.
You didn't even metion the goaltending, which has saved their butts numerous times, especially in recent games, Lyons and Luokonen are very capable and Ellis is a great 3rd. The Sabres tend to give up the puck more than I would like, especially in their own zone, both Powers and Tuch should start a bakery and speceailize in turnovers, but a lot of times it's the goalie that bails them out. Most of the goals allowed by this team are from coughing up the puck by making really dumb passes.
Im not saying anything, just gonna let it happen
I am watching so many random hockey YouTubers because they're all finally talking positively about this team. Last time they made the playoffs Iwas a junior in high school, now I WORK at that same high school!
"Now do you believe? This team is good, scary good!!" RJ would have loved to be calling for this team!!
He's a wing that won't go into a corner. In the rare occasion he does, it will never be first.
If that Quinn, Zucker, McCloed line clicks consistently…that is HUGE
their ceiling is legitimate Cup contenders for the next 4-5 seasons. They have tons of team speed, their entire team can handle the puck, everyone can move the puck, the style they play is fluid and dynamic, their defense corps is extremely big and talented and relatively young. Their forwards include danglers and shooters and playmakers and grinders and pests. They have 14 former 1st round picks on their roster. They have a few very good prospects in the system (Helenius in particular). Their biggest question mark the past 10 years has been goaltending, and for awhile we've been begging for simply average goaltending, but this season the pendulum has swing all the way to elite goaltending, both Lyon and UPL are well above average in GSAx.
They went to bed on December 8 2025 as a bad team and woke up on the morning of December 9th as the 96 Red Wings, they're a juggernaut, it's completely ridiculous. All they needed to do was believe in themselves.
I can't see another team staying with them for seven games rn. Good luck Sabers, I believe this is the year
Go Sabres!
People tend to forget both Quinn and Krebs tore their Achilles, which set back development. Both coming into their own.
The Buffalo Sabres aren't a wagon. They circle the wagons
