It’s wild to me that he was still available in the 3rd round, for whatever reason goalies don’t have the « value » that they used to have and yet there’s a bunch of teams that would kill to have an elite goaltender (We were one of those teams for most of the year)
Speaking of goalies, Marc Denis was from the same draft year as Martin Biron.
And the Avalanche scout asked Marc Denis: « Tell us why we should pick you over Martin Biron » or « Tell us why you’re a better goalie than Martin Biron. »
Avs were happy with the answer that Marc Denis gave. But I never heard WHAT exactly his answer was.
