Imagine adding Veryoeff to that list. Makes trades interesting.
I wonder if any of our next core is on this list? Zeev seems good, hopefully Cootes is. I expect our top 10 looks a lot different this time next season. Or heck, a few months from now.

Hoping we can add 4 more to that top 10 at this draft. Might see Lekkerimaki bumped down to 8 or 9.
Lots of work to do. We need to draft extremely well in both quantity and quality over the next 3-5 years. I’m looking forward to seeing the kids develop!
Canucks need to draft Tyler Myers’ replacement (impossible to do btw)
They were talking about it today on nuck talk, made a great point Lekk is such a distressed asset at this point if they do their drafting right this years top 3 rounds worth of picks should push him down close to 10…? We need to nail our drafting like Dallas did that one year, with the patience this ownership lacks, we probably get 2 years b4 desperation moves happen to speed thing up. We need a critical mass before that
(We also need to spend next year rebuilding value on alot of guys like hogs Mpetterson, among others to land favourable trades
I am pretty glass half empty on Lekkeremakki…
But he’s a prospect I really hope they can show some patience with, and give a lot of runway to. Really let him physically develop before moving on.
It would really suck to see him go somewhere, string together a couple healthy seasons and then pop at 24/25 when he fills out a bit more.
Is there a future where he’s burying passes from Gavin McKenna or Ivar Stenberg?
Maybe 4 max 5 of these guys I can see on the team in a few years, and 3 are d-men. Going to need some spectacular drafting to turn this ship as it is pointed firmly down. The true painful years are just beginning (finally).
Willander should be above Cootes. He’s looking like everything he was expected to be. Cootes is still mostly unproven.
Hard to know who the real core is yet, but if Willander and Buium hit their ceilings that changes the entire outlook. Feels like the next 2-3 drafts will decide everything.
