As they should be, need our media to not forget about this and keep bringing it up. Fans watch the game for the stars, not the goons, the NHL really needs to protect their stars a lot more, not just for the integrity of the game, but the health of the individuals during and after hockey.
Only in hockey can you âintentionallyâ hurt a co-worker and barely get and discipline for it. Any other job and youâd be fired for this type of action and possibly charged.

Assuming that the Leafs players grow a pair between now and the 30th, Iâd rather Gudas be back in the lineup for their next game with the Ducks.

I stopped watching nhl hockey when Bennett took out Stolarz with no repercussions. This just proves I made the right decision

Crosby is still out because of Gudas too

Near as I can tell this is the first time Mirtle has given a single fuck about inconsistency at DoPS. I wonder what changed.

I feel like this would be so easy to legislate, but it’ll never happen. If a player faces a disciplinary hearing and suspension for a play in which another player is injured, that player’s suspension lasts as long as it takes for the other player to be cleared medically for play.
There are plays that are bang-bang, incidental, not completely malicious, or just accidents that cause injury. There’s context on every play. There’s a committee that meets to consider that context. This isn’t something that would have to be applied unless it’s deemed to be appropriate.
Concuss a guy with a headshot, miss a week or two. Tear his MCL with a knee on knee? Miss 6-8 months. Bertuzzi a guy and end his career? Well…
That would clear this shit out of the game pretty quickly.

This is what happens when the league starts rewarding dirty players.
The league for my life time has struggled to find the balance between physical play and skill play.
Current league is absolute trash.

I’ve been a fan for 20+ years. I’ve been to many games, and I subscribed to TSN & Sportsnet to get all the coverage. I’m done with it, and you should be too. Don’t give them another cent. MLSE/Rogers doesn’t deserve it, and neither does the NHL.

Iâm a firm believer that the Perry knee to Tavares was intentional.Â
The fact that Bennet took out Knies one year and then Stolarz the next has detailed our playoff runs.
The league going hard on Kadri back in the day but letting the Panthers get away with murder is batshit crazy.Â
Sabotaging the biggest market doesnât matter to them because weâre also the biggest watchers of playoff hockey in general.
We watch even when our team is out of the playoffs.Â
The league needs to show some love to Toronto because the gravy train might not stay on the tracks if we keep getting shafted.

Wo 5 games for taking out the captain’s of team Canada and team USA, the faces of their franchise, over $20 million in combines salary. The NHL really dropped the ball on this one.

Once again: great game, garbage league.
