FWIW based on the gear I can see in the image this is likely from early in his second stint in Detroit since the Vic sticks seem to have stopped being produced by the mid-90s. I’m assuming Nico is no more than 5-6 which would put his birth year around 90-92ish. His parents probably either had season passes and were attending some sort of fan event or this was a youth hockey event. My vote is for a season pass fan event since he’s so dressed up but who really knows.

My Dad met Kocur once at a pond hockey event in the UP. They shook hands, but my dad said, « I don’t want to shake your hand, I want to see your knuckles. » Kocur laughed and showed him the knuckles. They were all gnarled and scarred. What a guy. Not many play the game like him anymore.
