There is almost no incentive other than a loud minority of the fanbases nostalgia for bringing him back.

Nashville sucks and he probably hated it since he got there when he realized they suck

He’s to old to bring back now

If only there had been a contender team out there with a city and fanbase that loved him, coach that knew how to utilize him, locker room that he synergized with, and gold instead of piss yellow jerseys. I wonder if the extra year at 5.5 million was worth losing that.

Will always be fond of what Marchessault did in Vegas, but he’s not a good fit from a skill perspective or a personality perspective here any more. Dorofeyev stepped into Marchessault’s role perfectly and at a fraction of the cost and with less drama. Letting him walk was a smart move by the front office at the time and it looks even smarter now.

This is me not feeling remotely sorry for him.

You mean his neighbors in Brentwood, Belle Meade, Green Hills or wherever the he lives now don’t celebrate his road hat tricks when he gets home like they did in Vegas?
Jokes aside, we don’t see Doro doing his thing the last two years if Marchy is still around.

I don’t feel bad for him. He made his choices. Great example of the grass is not always greener.

I know it doesn’t explicitly say he wants to come back to Vegas but I’m realizing more and more that players really don’t… leave Vegas? As much shit as NHL fans talk about the VGK it seems players are happy. Even if they get traded they wanna come back. (Example: Reilly Smith)
