    Oh man – what could Sabres Mafia do to make this happen?

    Do we squirt him with ketchup and mustard? Do we thrust our beer swords in the air and chant his name? Do we name a pothole after him?

    Got to watch Carrick as a Gull and a Duck quite a bit. Never the most talented player on the ice, but always the hardest working, and doesn’t take shit from anyone, even if it’s a losing battle. Hoping he gets a medium term deal from Buffalo, like a 4x$3m or something. He’s the kind of anchor you want in the bottom of your lineup. A lot of people think fourth liners are disposable, but when you have a guy like Carrick, he helps elevate the rest of your team because he’s never going to give your opponents a shift off.

    As a Rangers fan, this makes me so happy to see Carrick fitting in so well. He deserved better as being one of the few Rangers that gave a hoot last year and this year and didn’t quit. Always stood up for his teammates even when everyone knew he was overmatched.

    Miss that guy. Enjoy him!! Were rooting for him.
