Whether or not he is that, this lockeroom needs some real LEADERS.
Honestly, I’m looking for the next Bo Horvat. Maybe not the most talented on the team, but I don’t think a single person looks at Horvat and says that guy is not a natural born leader.
He has IT. Whatever that IT factor is. (Even when he was a rookie. You could just tell.) That’s what I hope to see from Braedon Cootes.
I’d like to see a team built a bit like Boston in 2011. They didn’t have a 1C. They had 2 excellent 2Cs who were competitive and could play a 2 way game. Obviously they had grit and a big number 1 D in Chara, but you can get those players in drafts. Players like Chara don’t usually end up in Canada via trade. You have to draft them.

Too early to tell. He could end up being a 2C, he could end up being a real estate agent. Keep smashing drafts and stock up for awhile.
Craig button is a great hockey man! This is the exact advice people need to hear! He is sensible and realistic about projecting where players will be. If you are wrong and they are better than expected then nobody will mind. However, keep in mind, you may still be wrong, but you did not equate Peter Nedved to be the next Wayne Gretzky!
