I feel like it’d be cool if it was in the hall of fame. That is an honor on its own even. He has a medal. Wasn’t he the one saying how much of a team effort this was after the win?
Man, he needs a better PR handler because he sounds like Veruca Salt.
I get it, it makes sense and is kind that he wants to give it to his dad. But. He should keep to the internal monologue right now because with everything that’s happened, he isn’t going to be given the benefit of the doubt on anything.
Also, why is he bringing Keller into it? That seems suss.
It’s a team sport. Why should he get the puck? Why not the guy who passed to him or Hellyebuck. Isn’t it better to have it where everyone can see it?

If this was a goal that marked a personal milestone, sure. But this is a game winning goal in a team sport.

We all love his candor but it is a double-edged sword.
Unfortunately this is one of those cases where Jack’s immaturity is showing up. Yes you scored it, but like it or not that is a piece of hockey history and it is where it belongs. If he is actually upset about not getting pictures with it like he said, I’m sure the HOF would be glad to set up something.
He should get to keep it.
