Tomorrow night will tell us a lot.Either we are in great shape to win the Central. 5 points up,game in hand,& tiebreaker highly likely…or we have an absolute dog fight,& barely over 50% chance. Yes having 4 injured wings is tough for the Avs-2 in the top 6. But Dallas is missing Mico,& Hintz in top 6,& also Faska in bottom 6-that I know of off top of my head. So no excuses tomorrow night-gotta find a way. Minny has all but eliminated themselves from 1 seed by going 0-2-1 in 3 home games vs non playoff teams since AVS beat em in SO.
But tomorrow will tell us a lot about where Dallas is at.(& their game Saturday vs Minny). Ya home ice would be nice but the far greater prize because of Bettmans unfair,& idiotic playoff setup is not having to go through BOTH Minnesota & Dallas if you are the AVS or Minnesota & Colorado if you are Dallas-while also knowing you won't have home ice for 2nd round. So impossible to answer this question til at least tomorrow night but really by Saturday night we will have a much better idea. Avs also play in Chicago Friday.

The 11-7 was awful. Blankensburg was even more awful. As MacKinnon said, you have all these centers who are now playing as forwards and are all in the wrong spots on the ice. Burns doesn't defend anything recently. And the goaltending is what it is. Now, does everything change if they get everyone back? Hopefully. Has Nelson even played with a top six player on his line since the Olympics? It's been insane with the injuries.

Some of you need to learn something about history before you decide to opine on matters you don't know the first thing about. If it weren't for America, most of the world would be under Russian or Chinese rule by now. Our military strength is what stands between those dictatorships and their desire to do to the rest of the world what Russia is doing to Ukraine, and what China and Russia have done so many times before, along with the Nazi regime. Ukraine is being held up, as we speak, by American funding.
I understand hockey fans not wanting things to be political, but if team russia is allowed to participate, russian will make it political. They will use the talent and achievements demonstrated by the players for their propaganda purposes and that propaganda will fuel the war in ways you might not anticipate. As a Ukrainian Avalanche fan, I'm grateful for your understanding.
lol i see all it took was couple crappy games by the Avs for the whackos to emerge, completely ignoring the previous 64 games to make it fit your narrative that the Avs are “soft” and bound to lose in the first round. If you’ve watched the Avs all season you know they’re substantially better than they’ve shown the last couple games. And I’m not saying to completely ignore these recent games (Avs need to be better in all facets), but let’s not act like the Avs have been playing at this level all season and covering it up.
