    I mostly agree with your predictions in this and am glad to see people moving away from the nonsense 'trade E-Rod' talk of a couple of months ago but my question is what happens to the players you have marked as removed?
    are they traded in this scenario? sent to the AHL? sitting in the press box? Although I assume if they are just scratched they still need to be paid and count to the cap. I don't really know how it works
    Mackie needs to spend the off-season learning how to shoot the puck into the dimensions of the goal. The rest of his game looks pretty solid. But the game is a goal scoring competition, not just getting close

    Vergaeghe has a spot with Bennett and Tkachuck. We have a missing spot at top line wing. And it's not Mackie. Vilmanis should be a roster player over Gadgovich. He's hurt most of the tim anyway. You want to keep Erod for injury reasons two years in a row, I'll be it in a different way… That's, well, hoppefully no. Trade for a top line winger and get top 6 pick player and 4C to partner Schwindt. Same core, fresh blood.

    Need build the youth and add more scoring while not becoming a defensive liability. Vilmanis in mackie down or moved with jbo. Vilmanis is already a more complete player than mackie. Dont bring in any old vets on D. Draft a young guy that can play bottom pair and learn from kuli as a replacement for ekblad at top pair D time, within 2 years ekblad should be down to 2nd pair and the drafted d man up to 2nd pair in 2 years. Top pair gus and jones should be looked at after next season. There are atleast 3 top Defenseman in the draft worth getting. Plenty of cap to work with. Go Cats

    What about Cole Schwindt? I know he’s hurt again but I do like what he brings to the table. Assuming that J-Bo is traded what about the possibility of trading Gadjo? In my opinion having a 4th line of Vilmanis-Schwindt-Greer/Marchand would be pretty effective in my opinion. I do like Gadjo but being able to have youth on the 4th line would do wonders.

    Other than that I assume if the Panthers do land a top defensive prospect that he would added to the excel sheet. Hovorka I could see being on the team next season but part of me does wonder if they would go out and get a guy

    Doing nothing would a mistake in my opinion. Winning teams almost always change their roster, it's never the same team completely. Samoskevich and Rodrigues are problematic because once one of our top scorers goes down (Marchand) they don't deliver. I think we need another scorer (Mckenna please). Not to mention the decline in Verhaeghe's production (Barkov might get him back to speed though).
