    A fun weird story I read a week or two ago:

    The famous Pavel Bure rookie card photo where he’s on the beach in roller blades? The photographer actually had a Canucks jersey for him to wear, but even though Canucks owned Pavel’s rights, Bure refused to put it on until he had a signed NHL contract.

    His dad, Vladimir, from the article was a super fun guy. He worked with the Canucks, and on the side he trained a bunch of us in dryland in hockey over a few years when we were coming up in minor hockey.
