It's 2 point game but we almost assured of the tiebreaker,& have a game in hand. All 3 games the home team has deserved a regulation win but lost in SO…it happens. Some of the media questions were really stupid tonight.
EDIT-FOR ALL YOU IGNORANT FOOLS TELLING ME DALLAS HAS THE TIEBREAKER CUZ THEY HAVE MORE HEAD TO HEAD POINTS OR WINS-YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET A CLUE-OR DO SOME RESEARCH! THIS ISNT THE NBA OR NFL WHERE YES THE 1ST TIEBREAKER IS HEAD TO HEAD RECORD. THIS IS THE NHL WHERE UNLIKE THOSE SPORTS-WE DIFFERENTIATE REGULATION WINS AS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OVERTIME OR SHOOTOUT WINS BECAUSE THE "LOSER" STILL GETS A POINT-& "LOSS" IN NAME ONLY. REALLY 1 TEAM WINS,& 1 TEAM TIES WHENEVER A REG SEASON GAME GOES TO OT. IN THE NHL HEAD TO HEAD POINTS IS LIKE THE 3RD OR 4TH TIEBREAKER-NOT THE 1ST OR 2ND! YES THERE WAS A TIME THAT WAS THE 1ST NHL TIEBREAKER. ADD UP ALL THE POINTS EARNED WHEN THEY PLAYED HEAD TO HEAD. BUT THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO-PROBABLY WAY BACK WHEN WE STILL HAD TIES! MAYBE MORE RECENT THAN THAT BUT DOESNT MATTER CUZ ITS NOT THAT NOW!
THE 1ST TIEBREAKER IS THE COLUMN MARKED RW-MEANING REGULATION WINS (WINS NOT EARNED IN GIMICKY 3 ON 3 OR SHOOTOUT)…2ND TIEBREAKER IS ROW. THAT MEANS REGULATION WINS + OVERTIME WINS. OR FOR YOU WHO ARE A LITTLE SLOW-BASICALLY ANY WIN NOT EARNED IN A SHOOTOUT! A FEW YEARS AGO ROW WAS ACTUALLY TIEBREAKER #1 & RW WAS 2ND TIEBREAKER. BUT THEY SWITCHED IT AROUND. I THINK THE 3RD TIEBREAKER NOW IS ACTUALLY FEWEST OVERALL LOSSES BUT THAT DOESNT MATTER CUZ THE CHANCES OF 1ST 2 TIEBREAKERS BEING EVEN ARE VERY LOW,& THERES ALMOST NO CHANCE OF GETTING TO YOUR HEAD TO HEAD POINTS EARNED TIEBREAKER-WAY DOWN THE LIST! SINCE COLORADO HAS 6 MORE REGULATION WINS (RW) THAN DALLAS-THEY WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY WIN THE TIEBREAKER-ALTHOUGH ITS NOT FOR SURE QUITE YET! BUT BEYOND DAMN AMAZING HOW MANY OF YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE BUT THINK YOU DO!
DALLAS WOULD HAVE TO CATCH COLORADO IN RW,& THEN THEYD PROBABLY WIN THE 2ND TIEBREAKER-REGULATION WINS + OVERTIME WINS (ROW)-SINCE THEY ARE ONLY 3 WINS BEHIND IN THAT. BUT MAKING UP 6 REGULATION WINS (RW AGAIN) IN 15 GAMES IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY THOUGH NOT IMPOSSIBLE. MINNESOTA IS 14 REGULATION WINS (THERES THAT RW AGAIN) BEHIND COLORADO & 8 REGULATION WINS (RW-ARE YOU CATCHING ON YET?) BEHIND DALLAS. SO 1 MORE AVS REGULATION WIN OR MINNY FAILING TO GET 1 WILL ACTUALLY CLINCH IT ON MINNY FOR COLORADO. AND DALLAS WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY ALSO HAVE THE TIEBREAKER ON MINNY. BECAUSE MINNY GOES TO OT QUITE OFTEN,& HAS SO MANY WINS PAST REGULATION-NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR HEAD TO HEAD RESULTS! BEFORE YOU TRY TO CORRECT SOMEBODY YOU MIGHT WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLUE-OR DO SOME RESEARCH! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT CLEARLY!
Boys played absolutely excellently. Cale looked like he was moving his feet like he hasn’t in months (never a bad player, but he was DANCING last night) and Otter is the only reason DAL even got a point.
A loss is a loss.
If the Avs play the same way they did last night the rest of the regular season, they'll stay atop the league easily. Otter stole that game for the Stars.
Jamie Ben!!!!!!!
Did they win? Oh no they lost to the best team in the league.
