[Paterson] Linus Karlsson a marqué son 13e but et inscrit son 30e point en 65 matchs hier soir. Parmi les attaquants de la LNH qui passent moins de 12 minutes par soir, il est le meilleur marqueur

In a pretty horrific year, Karlsson has been one of the big bright spots. I honestly think he can be a 55+ point guy with more opportunity. I’d like to see him back with Manny if/when he gets promoted eventually

shoutout Adam Gaudette, he has really improved his game since he was a Canuck and plays it much smarter these days.

Karlsson is the leading scorer in the whole league for guys playing less than 12 minutes a night. Aatu Raty is one of the best at faceoffs in the whole league and can’t get more than 12 minutes a night. Liam Ohgren has been one of our best players for months and gets 13 minutes a night.

Adam Foote: Kane, get out there!

It’s sorta insane how we evaluate players based on GP, when really is all about how much ice time they get. I proper metric to evaluate players would really be minutes perc season, not games played. Then a stat like « points per 60 min » would tell the real story.

it’s been fun watching him heat up this season, feels like he’s finally clicking with the lineup. 13 goals is solid and shows he’s earning big minutes.

Yup, he was showing nice potential even last year when he got his games in the NHL. Solid player. Little sad he’s rising at a bit later age, but he should earn a massive payday with the Canucks or wherever he goes if he keeps it up.

This is a guy you want to hold onto for the rebuild unless someone overpays a 1st rounder

I’m surprised Tampa didn’t pick him up for their run when rumors were circulating they were interested during the TDL. Cheap and low maintenance, he would have been great for them

I’d like to see him notch 20 goals… but it might be out of reach.

I always admire late blooomers like karlsson, drafted in the 3rd round, traded to Vancouver, plays a couple year in Sweden

Comes to abby and grinds it out for a few seasons, helps them a win a championship and now is a contributor in the nhl

I really like Karlsson. I will say: minutes get progressively harder. The rate you score at against lower competition playing 12 minutes a night is almost never the rate you’ll score at playing 18 minutes a night. Sometimes players just need the ice time. Sometimes they’re doing just perfect in the right role playing against the right level of competition.

In any case, I think all fans agree that Foote isn’t the coach to accurately make that assessment. Curious to see what the future holds for Karlsson once we get a real coach and a real team.
