@Sabres de Buffalo

Je ne sais pas, n’est-ce pas ?

Je veux dire, hop sur vous, les idiots ! Dépoussiérez votre maillot Drury croustillant, prenez votre casquette Miller et rejoignez la fête !

I hate winning and I think we can all agree that winning sucks

  2. PanicOnFunkatron

No. I didn’t suffer for 15 years for people to hop on because the Rangers and Leafs are bad now.

Just ask someone who the tank commander was, and if an argument or “Mike Weber” ensues you’ve got a pain enjoyer.

  5. EPCOT_Is_My_Favorite

I’d rather have bandwagon fans than be the butt of everyone’s joke.

  6. WildflowerE42

The more, the merrier. I am loving all of the people who say their teams are out so they’re rooting for us in the playoffs. This team has done something really amazing over the last few months, and if it brings people some joy, I think that’s great.

This is my third year watching. I only support new york teams and I picked them over the rangers and islanders cause i didnt wanna be accused of bandwagoning. They were the youngest team in the league and were in the longest playoff drought. So I won’t pass a quiz about sabres history to prove my non bandwagon status, but I do know who Victor Oloffson is

  8. iamdisgusto

My posts used to be much funnier when the Sabres were bad.

  9. Unusual_Cheek_4454

I’m sort of a bandwagon fan. I’ve always been faintly interested in the Sabres because of Dahlin, but now that their super fun and exciting to watch, I root for them.

  10. CNYMetroStar

I jumped on the bandwagon in 06-07 when I was in middle school and haven’t gotten off since then

  11. DJ-dicknose

I’m too old and have seen too many things to gate keep fandom.

Mind your own business and enjoy the ride is how I’m looking at it

  12. MembershipPretty7595

They have been fun to watch with some crazy games this year. Glad to see they’re back.

  13. taco-bake

So my expectations are now the cup or at least a deep run instead of fighting for a wildcard. Ok I’m ready

  14. CustardLow2671

I want to keep flying under the radar, please

  15. I will never gatekeep a fandom. Gimme a high five and a trophy. End of list.

  16. GoGlenMoCo

I don’t care what other people do, I’m having fun watching these guys stack wins.

  17. BK2Jers2BK

Bandwagon Ranger (Season Tkt Holder) fan here. Flyin up with the kids on the 6th for the TBL rematch. Picked up our tix this week.

Thank God for Niagara Falls, otherwise they would know that the Sabres game is the only reason I’m hijacking their Spring Break.

My team is fucked this season (and next).

Love me or hate me, LFG SABRES!!

    P.S.
We gave you Sam (Carrick Bros Maple Syrup) Carrick, one of my favorite players when he was a Ranger (and now that he’s in Buffalo)!

  18. tamere2k

Who cares who roots for who? Just have fun.

  19. markkaschak

You know what? Now that they put it ***that*** way, I’m not sure I do.

  20. gollumaniac

To me there are two types of bandwagoners: fans who became so disillusioned over the last 14 years and are now coming back, and fans who see this as a great feel-good story and want in.

To the first group I say welcome back with no hard feelings. I can’t disparage anyone who gave up during the last 10 years, it’s been rough. And to the second group I say welcome aboard. Because there’s nothing better than sharing your fandom with new people.

  21. dickdastardlee

I became a Bills fan in 2018 when I moved to Buffalo, always followed the Sabres a little bit since I didn’t have a hockey team either. But you know, they were ass. This year I’m watching every game and loving it. Pretty sure that makes me a wagoner but don’t care, love this group of players

  22. Wild_Trick1966

AI title was supposed to read « Greatest Wagon of a team ever »

  23. photokristin

Just happy to be relevant again! This is bringing me back to the mid 2000s!

A team I’m in love with again instead of just following and praying they will win more than they lose!

  24. RogerDogerBoop

I am a Canucks fan who has been paying attention to Buffalo for about 3 years. Does this make me a bandwagonner? Yes. Do I care?. No.

  25. LEGOguy84

Every team that wins has bandwagon fans, its part of it. The football team in NE was the 4th most popular team when they drafted Bledsoe in 1993. Ill take it here all day

  26. Only ones I don’t want are people from the area that didn’t like the Sabres before

  27. flyinhippo

I remember getting detention in middle school because for a project I made a giant “it’s Miller time” poster and my teacher was pissed thinking I drew a giant beer advertisement

  28. Cultural_Parfait7866

Nah we prefer to keep losing…

  29. Funny_Stretch9405

If you’ve been following the Sabres you know that this team has been on the edge of this success for a while. Nice to see it happening. All aboard !!

  30. Duke_Moorlandtrek

It’s all good. I like seeing all the 20 year old sweaters on a fatter version of people’s previous bandwagon selves.

  31. Sabresfan70

Been a long 14 years. The last few have had promise and finishing just short was a tease. Now here we are. All aboard the bandwagon, all are welcome. Go Sabres!

  32. Canucks fan here all aboard the bandwagon to cheer our expansion bros on!!

  33. SabresFan

The way I look at it is this, joy from their victories is not a finite resource. Everyone’s welcome to partake. But the joy you actually feel from the victories is proportional to the amount of pain you invested on a random Tuesday during the 2021 winless streak tuning in to only be disappointed.

If you weren’t here for the end of Ryan Miller, Ryan O’Reilly losing his joy for the game, Jack forcing his way out of town or plam-tree gate, go ahead and jump on the bandwagon. You just cannot possibly enjoy it as much as those of us who have lived through the last 15 years.

  34. Individual_Rip_54

I’ve always distinguished between Fairweather and bandwagon. Bandwagon fans jump off the bandwagon when the team is bad. Fairweather fans are just more dialed in when the team is good. And honestly, I think that’s fair.
