Where is the attraction here? The Anaheim player has done nothing in the last 5 games. A career – 50, so no help on D. The Rangers have enough morale and consistency problems without importing a malcontent.

Rangers would be ill advised to trade any right D like Borgen or Schneider. McTavish is a good player but Rangers don't have the assets to make trades. They are more likely to add pieces in FA. If they could get McTavish for maybe Berard & Roobroeck(doutful), I might do it.
This season has been disappointing, but can’t be too upset. Laffy has been shining like a star the last month. Laffy and Perrault are the future. Next season Rangers have a great top line with those 2 and Mika. If Laffy can finish the season with 25 goals and 55 plus points I’d be happy. If the Rangers win the lottery and get McKenna they potentially have a Celebrini type player and they’ll be right back into the playoff picture next year. If they don’t get Lottery getting a top 5 pick is great and another first rounder towards the end is awesome. A lot of good players in this years draft.
