Good attitude. It isn’t going to be easy but if they grow together and gel, we might get something special in a few years.
I think the burden of expectation has been lifted, they’ve been a bubble team that’s been pushed to be contenders in this market for a while. This rebuild is a good chance to exercise some of our organizational demons so to speak. I’m glad to hear Buium and the new younger guard believe in themselves and want to forge a new era for the Canucks.
I’m a firm believer that culture means just as much as skill in the room.
Future captain. Every interview I’ve heard of his has been really impressive.
One thing I’ve noticed about the new guys is they’re praised for their character. Buium, Willander, DPetey, Ohgren, Cootes are all examples
Hopefully they will take the reins and build something better then the country club they had
The veteran core had stagnated from all the infighting and drama. Clearing most of them out had to be done. Opened the doors and let fresh air in. Not just a couple, but SEVERAL, new kids. Big kids. Skilled kids with an edge. We’ll be young. We’ll make a lot of mistakes. But ANYTHING is better than the way it’s been.

He’s such a stud.
We should be aiming to be bad another 1-2 years, and then take leaps and bounds forward when Zeev and Tom are 23 / 24 years old.
It’s good to hear that him and Willander get along so well and push each other to be better.
Will be great watching Buium develop over the next few seasons. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
Fingers crossed guys like Buium, Cootes & Willander can eventually develop into core pieces for the Canucks.
One thing I love about Zeev is that he just has the attitude of a winner. He’s won at every level he plays and it shows with how he speaks and conducts himself. Just need him to be more confident on the ice and he’ll be a pillar of our team for the next decade.
This guy looks like Tocc and the B4-4 band from the 90s
Zeev is a breath of fresh air, man. I LOVE that mindset, and I hope it’s contagious… after next season. The hard part is that this team needs to be dogshit for a bit longer. Will he be able to last through that bleak phase?
This has been a tough year. But everything i see with Zeev gets me excited for the future.

Super refreshing article to read. That attitude and desire to build a brotherhood is what has been missing for long time.
The fact is, Buium IS a proven winner at every level so far…much more so than Quinn was at 20 years old.
This is a guy that will help bring the Canucks a lot of success down the road.

Glad to hear the mention of Hronek. My biggest worry with any rebuild is that you jettison too many vets then end up with all talent and no experience or leadership
