My dad played in the QMJHL for Quebec. His coach had a rule that every time a puck went above waist level in warmups it was a line skate for the entire team. Granted the goalies wore fiberglass masks that were next to useless. He’s missing every single molar in his mouth…

Never played at a high level but I played for the first 20 years of my life. I played D and I always considered warm ups to be for the goalie. I always gave them the same deal. High and low glove and a high and low blocker. I was legitimately never shooting to score. More of a make him make the save.
