1. Seriously? How do you want this… If Petey puts up 25 points in 16 games, the Canucks are probably going on a run while other teams are tanking and you have the potential to lower your draft possibilities in a season you are going for that 1OA.. a very Canuck thing to do…
What is the condition of his wrist? Would that not be one of the things seriously impacting his shot?
What about looking at the quality of his wingers and their lack of production with miserable shooting percentages…
Then you want to trade him in the off season… who is going to center McKenna or Stenberg if the Canucks draft one of them?
Best case scenario right now… Canucks are bad the rest of the season, get the shot at the top 2, preferably #1, get the winger and put them with Petey next year if they are NHL bound.
If Petey finds his game with a high level prospect – are you then trading him? If you trade him, will his value not be better at that point? If he does not find his game, does his value drop more than it currently is?
At this point, I continue to be patient. I'm not against trading Petey, but I'm not interested in dumping him either.

  2. I'm so thankful this team is gonna be trash next season too and we'll have a legitimate shot at one of DuPont, Joseph or Privalov

  3. Petterson's entire career was about playing well enough to nail that huge, set for life contract, and he planned to relax and play out his career at low gear now that he has the money. Roast me all you want – that is my sincere belief as we witness his self-described "Season of Revenge".

  4. I, and several fellow decades-long Canucks fans, had such high hopes for Nils. I shared centre-ice, row twelve season's tickets seats during Pavel's first three seasons in the Rink on Renfrew. We all saw shades of Pavel during Hoglander's first season. Such a disappointment. Makes me sad.
I still wish the best for the young man.

  5. IF we end up with 2nd or 3rd pick for the love of humanity DO NOT TAKE STENBERG. Trade down and take Malhotra. We already contribute enough to Sweden's gdp and have nothing to show for it besides 2 really good years that still has us banner deprived.

  6. Fun fact: If the Canucks were to use their lottery pick on Viggo Bjorck (and I realize it will never happen) they could use two of their next three top 55 picks on both Ruck brothers, thus giving them not only one but TWO sets of identical twins on the roster. Hey you gotta dream sometimes.

  7. There is NO HOPE until we get rid of those clowns in the front office… What a train wreck they've created; and they should NOT be praised for ANY progress (if they get lucky with some draft picks, for example!); they're AT BEST cleaning up some of the mess THEY made in the first place.
