At the end of 21-22 season, i thought they will need couple more years to have a shot in play offs. But boy was i surprised after the shit they pulled during summer 22 market. They will stir the pot this upcoming season for sure. #retire13 wings))

Great video… Very interesting… Can't wait for part 2 after we win a couple of cups!!! I loved the part where people talk about the Red Wings not being in the playoffs not being right… It's like not having the NY Yankees in the playoffs. I will say it now as before, the original six pay the bills in this league among some few others teams… The merchandise, Fan base, memorabilia collectors, sold out stadiums are from these few teams… So not having these teams healthy is not good for the NHL.. Most of these teams and we all know who they are, their fans just jump on the bandwagon when their team is doing good…. They don't really support their team by buying merchandise and selling out the arena when the team is bad. I have been a rabid Red Wing fan for 43 years now. I watched and have been to the arena for almost 99% percent of every game played in that time. Steve is a winner.. He more than anybody wants to bring the Stanley Cup back to Detroit, because he may have retired from playing on the ice but he still is playing off the ice… Ty
Those Yzerman trades were ridiculously good. It’s like Yzerman is that really hot chick that proposes something totally absurd and you just can’t say no even though it’s a really bad idea for you. I think the most important thing about Yzerman being GM of the Wings is that you know he’s so personally invested in the organization and the fan base that he truly cares about the team being the best in the league. He’s not a guy that you hope does a good job and if he doesn’t, you move on to the next GM. I suspect they don’t expect to have to hire another GM for the next 20+ years. There’s no “we need to get rid of this guy” from the media or fans. You’re basically married for life with Stevie Y…

Honestly Yzerman is a big part of the reason for my love for the Wings, it is what pulled me to them, Lindstrom also, watching them in the 90s and early 2000s will always be something that I will remember. They continued to be a force for years afterward, and finally peaked and had a bit of a downfall. Seeing how Yzerman has come back, and how and what he is doing for this franchise is amazing.
