@Canucks de Vancouver

Im not usually one to push for coaching changes but im pushing for changes

Kane and Petey pair so poorly together

  3. Admirable-Fall-4675

Gotta pump that value for…. uhhhh

  4. Lawlcakes26

Foote knows that the job ain’t done even though we were statistically eliminated from playoffs!

  5. _GregTheGreat_

His agent Dan Milstein has a lot of sway, especially on the Canucks org

My conspiracy theory is that at this point they’re playing nice with Kane to keep Milstein happy and help attract Russian free agents. Is Vitali Pinchik (the top Russian free agent) Milsteins client?

  6. Radiant_Sherbert7272

The job isn’t done yet. 32nd hasn’t been finished. But all joking aside. Hoglander hasn’t been great when he has played.

  7. monkey314

yeah cos hog has been racking up the points and the only reaaon Petey has so many points lately

  8. ProphetofElias

clearly they want kane to hit his 1000 this season. looking at the lineup i don’t know who else you take out… while i think hoggy should play games… like DeBrusk? he is in the bottom 6, i don’t think it really matters for trade value if he is bottom 6 or having a night offf.

  9. theazn35

tbf having Kane in the lineup will help staple 32nd cuz hes going to take stupid penalties and rando shoot the puck at the goalie instead of Hoglander who doesn’t take stupid penalties and rando shoot at the goalie

But Hog is another classic ex of FO signing player to multi-year contract then realizing no coach likes him player doesn’t fit in said system player unhappy gets benched cant trade him player gets healthy scratched 90% of the season

  10. Are we trying to drive Hoglanders value down to a fourth round pick, so he can go play well somewhere else and make management look stupid again?

  11. Hellosweetparadox

Well Hoglander will get his redemption when Manny takes over next season

  12. ModernArgonauts

Batch made an interesting point recently that if we just sat Kane in the press box for the rest of the season, other vets and players (and their agents) will notice and it might deter them from wanting to play here in the future.

I hate it but maybe its good for the long term vision.

  13. Cdr_Bond007

Just won’t stop with the Pettersson-Kane pairing omfg. 🤦

  14. Ravens_Rock

I wonder if its just to give Kane a shot to earn another contract as a UFA. Wonder if they are just giving him as much of a chance as possible to stay in the league.

I honestly dont know if many teams are going to even look to add him this offseason… this stretch might be his last opportunity to show that he can still be valuable for a team.

This isn’t even the funniest part.

They practiced changing on the fly today.

Line changes. NHL team. Practicing LINE CHANGES

  17. What is with this subs obsession with mediocre players lol. Fucking reminds me of when this sub was trying to convince everyone that Brendan Gaunce was a good player

  18. UnsubstantialGoat

If Foote is back next year I’ll be out for the season. Tank commander is good for a year but I can’t watch it again.

  19. Holy shit I’m so tired of them playing Kane in the top 6.

  20. Sorry that’s not the top line. BROs for life

  21. 00Makerin00

Why did we even acquire Kane, was it for playoff grit?

It’s crazy that we thought we could compete with Chytil and Demko, both have had injury riddled careers.

  22. Kellnes5

If they wanna get rid of him in the off season he’s gotta be in the front of the display case..

  23. kman221961

Foote is no coach… he’s a horrible coach… his name should be Phil

  24. Tofu_Analytics

Optics aside I just dont understand why we should be giving significant minutes to a player who’s going to leave in about 10 games when we could be giving ice time to a 23yr old who we can keep for the next 5 years if we want to. We don’t care if we loose and Kane isn’t helping us develop our other players it makes 0 sense to me why we wouldn’t just give more time to trial Höglander even if we decide we don’t think he’s going to be a future piece in the rebuild.

  25. tambama

This post is more unhinged than Kane in the top 6.

  26. overthisbynow

You all think Foote is just a terrible coach but he actually understands the assignment perfectly 👌

  27. LucariusLionheart

At this point, this is favouritism

  28. dirtfresh

Tank Lord Commander Footer in active duty here.

  29. smcfarlane

He’s the worst coach we’ve ever had. No jokes.

Absolutely no structure. None. Zero. Desjardins was better.

  30. ebb_omega

Okay, so I really haven’t been watching the team lately. I am popping in here to check out the status, so I sort of have a theory/question that I’d like to ask of the people who are watching the games:

One defense I have for keeping Kane in the lineup is that you can just throw him out against the big players in the league and give the younguns a little more low QoC to do some good work, which would be good for their development I think.

Does he impact the play in a positive way on those big minutes? Maybe, good chance not, so we probably lose the game. Still lets the younger players work themselves up the difficulty charts on the NHL lineup. Tank continues and the young kids build themselves up with work. 3-5 years not such a bad idea for this kind of a supporting cast to a crew yet to be determined (see y’all at the draft).

It’s less about Petey or Kane and more about everybody under the 25-year mark at this point.

    Does that perspective make sense?
