That is no where near enough for Brady tkachuk with 2 years left on his deal. I’d have to think if Ottawa was gonna trade him in division they would want the sun and the moon back. I’d have to think the only way Ottawa trades him to Florida this summer is if they get a reinhart or lundell back,along with the draft pick. They also want to win too. Now next summer, when he only has one yr left and has more control I think this makes more sense.
Caveat: this obviously is different if Florida gets a top 2 pick thats different but I’m not trading him for a 7th overall pick and Rodriguez, the second or first overall pick tho I’d be interested in if I’m Ottawa but why would Florida trade that pick?

I’d love a trade for Brady, but they are in no way to trade for him.
The money wont work, for one. For two, they’d have to give up too mich (your suggestion isnt nearly enough) and he is veeeery similar to Matthew, who is fairly similar to Bennett. Tkachuk, Bennet Tkachuk doesnt work. They’d maybe need Lundell on that line but now you are maximizing neither of the two centers skill sets and i dont know how much of an upgrade is there considering what theyd have to give up
tkachawk to chicago is more ideal than florida. chicago is a team on the rise, is close to st.louis, not in the same division or conference as ottawa, has more to offer ottawa in a package, and has all the money (cap space) tkachawk would want/ask for on an extension.
