well Tampa still loosing 0-2 vs Minesota and Detroit loosing to Ottawa, pretty good night if this keeps up
Where are all the whining losers who polluted this thread 40 minutes ago?
Go leafs go!
Great 2nd period after that horrible start to the game. Not managing on the PP but at least we have good o-zone time and good looks
No hate but that was a disastrous shift by Slaf on offense. You’ve got to know if there’s a lane and not just pass blindly multiple times.
The net was wide open on Caufield’s side, it was absolutely the right play to pass, but he just got there too fast
I love that Rod bitched… then immediately Carolina got a penalty.
Slaf wanted to be a good teammate…
I’ve reached my breaking point with some of this season’s radio ads. If I have to listen to that stupid tire ad with the two stoned-sounding guys again I’m gonna scream.
i really hope they don’t start forcing caufield passes for 50. 50 goals would be great, making the playoffs would be even better
I fucking love Slaf so much
Slaf you gotta shoot. Good things happen when you do!
Slaf gives the best intermission interview in the league
The TSN guy on the desk looks like a 1970s auto executive. I like him though.
In a weird twist we are so far getting some help tonight from other teams.
But priority number 1 is we have to hold.
Give me mutton chops Slaf

Big game
Detroit’s March collapse is complete, I think they are done tbh.
I think it is up to Caufield to say something at this point and get everyone back in line to just take the play that is given.
Rivals watch is looking really good tonight hopefully no comebacks from them
It still blows my mind that Slaf is younger than Kapanen and Hutson
Ottawa and Toronto giving a helping hand tonight.
Is it me or the green light/horn to signal the end of periods has felt super late? Maybe the broadcast clock is just wrong.
I’m more nervous with the lead than trailing coming into the 3rd.
Shooting was definitely the right choice there, but it’s not *that* clear. If Caufield is one stride closer to the net that net was WIDE open. Easier play is to just shoot, but definitely an understandable decision to try and get it over. Especially with the hottest goal scorer in the league standing over there alone.
I can just smell this coming down to us needing a 6 on 5 stop
I’d much rather play Carolina in the playoffs than Tampa or Buffalo. I think once we get past their initial heavy forecheck we can dictate the pace of the game against them
These were the games in early December that Monty would let blow wide open to 3-0 or 4-1
Dobeš and Fowler have kept us in all these games lately.
Feels weird cheering for the leafs tonight
Looks like I was wrong about Sens being too far back. Now it’s looking like both Isles and Wings may be out.
Carolina has a very unlikeable team
Tampa losing
Detroit losing
Boston losing
Islanders losing
We gotta close this one out. It would be huge
Can they hold this lead and get a regulation win?
erik karlsson turning back the clock?

Some love for Dobeš from the presenters. They were correct that he was standing on his head in the first period to keep his team in the game. He’s delivered absolutely amazing saves, especially when you consider that he was rookie and he came into this season not expecting to have this much resting on him.
Holy shit, at the moment we are beating the Canes in faceoffs. That doesn’t happen much. Rod Brind’Amour puts a ton of emphasis on draws.
MacKinnon scored again, spread the wealth Nate dog you’ve already got the presidents trophy on lock, let Cole get his rocket
Quick question, how come the Rangers are not eliminated yet? they have 65 pts and maximum of 87 pts. Haven’t seen any post about their elimination scenario
