Again, Larkin and the Cat having to do the fighting is ridiculous those two get targeted so much in every game they can't even give you the output they're capable of, this team has nobody to protect these guy's. The Wings get bodied in every game, the reason Larkin is hurt 5 times a season. I grew up in the Yzerman playing era but the brutal truth is that he is taking far to long to create a successful contender as GM here. There have been some questionable decisions that backfired to slow progress here, 7 year's as GM, 9 year's with no playoff appearance, the deadline he had almost 30M in cap space with a ton of assets and picks, but waited til zero hour to deliver Faulk and Perron like he was waiting to deliver a blockbuster. I'm starting to miss Ken Holland now.
Detroit really needed 2 points here, and every game after. Not sure where they go from here if they miss the playoffs again. When Larken got put in a headlock, the entire team should have jumped that guy AND the goalie. The reason Ottawa does all that stuff at the end of the game is because they know the RedWings won't do anything about it.
