And I could get front row seats to Wrestlemania 18 — let’s see who gets lucky first

They will hire a president. I bet Tre and Berube will still be here next year. It gives them time and ability to fire people if it goes badly again. If you do it now and then its bad again, where do you go? You cannot just have Pelley fire the GM and hire a GM… a President of hockey ops is required for this franchise.

  3. Nothing like sticking your neck out there CJ…

Number 1 worst fear is Brads big clueless mug behind a desk beyond beyond the end of this season.

Clear him out. He’s out of his depth. Please GOD don’t let that nepo baby last another day with this franchise.

I would also sell my soul to get Pete DeBoer in this office.

To be fair, Chris Johnston’s takes are always prefaced with a “could” or a “my feeling is that ….” It drives me bananas, I personally don’t give much value to most of what he says. The leafs could trade for Connor too… but here’s hoping he’s right this time

I might leave this fandom if it dosen’t

And I ‘could’ win the lottery. What’s ur point?

People really need to get better about reading between the lines with CJ and Elliotte.

No insider says “my feeling is that…” or “I’ve heard”, etc, without there being real info behind it. They just can’t be definitive because circumstances change, and risking being flat out wrong isn’t good for them or their outlets.

The soft takes and headlines don’t come from nowhere. If it did, they wouldn’t be an insider.

Leafs never do the right thing with hiring managemt. Total gong show.

From where inside the organization would this info be leaked to a guy like Chris Johnston? For it to be a credible source, it would have to be someone higher up than Tre and why would this individual feel compelled to share it with him? I call bullshit and he’s just spouting what everyone is already thinking.

The Pronger Doctrine begins next season.

Arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic? It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ’em.

  13. Perhaps the person at rogers the put Keith Pelley in charge should be out the door with Pelley, Treliving doesn’t understand drafts and trades, bye bye, unfortunately i do love Berube but need to clean house to create a new culture, drop tickets 30% in reflection to the 28% increase this season to show fans you are listening

  14. TurdFerguson06

But what will this do for shareholder values. Forgive me but I have a hard time believing that Rogers will do what is necessary. Hope I’m wrong.

    Hard hitting reporting right here.

« Team that was a godawful disappointment might make changes to the front office this offseason, more at 11 »

Bye bye Brad. Love ya, but out the door Bérubé, and hello Pete deBoer

  18. Fire the president, Good Morning and entire coaching staff immediately after the last game. Maybe before the last game.
