« Idk if it’ll be good but.. » LMAO
Hey, if they expect him to do a good job, he can expect them to do a good job. He’s a busy guy.
Love this answer, lol.
But is there actually such a thing as a good sports question that he could actually answer tho? Feel like coach and player interviews are always them deflecting from any real shit into cliche answers.
Context:
– Martin already stated to reporters in a previous press conference that he would stop announcing lineup changes for the remainder of the season.
– *Today*
– First question, Martin McGuire asks if there are changes in the lineup tonight. Martin looks disappointed and says to remind people. He then asks for the next question.
– *Clip begins*
– Guillaume asks the question which is fetching him to restate what he already stated in a previous press conference.
love when daddy gets mad
I love him
Love Marty. He deserves a smarter pool of journalists.
He talk to journalist like I want to talk to my coworker but cant because if I do they complain to HR.
Fucking right Marty. Demand these deadbeats put some thought into their questions. He’s a steady stream of well considered thoughts. Ask him some challenging questions, the answers will be interesting. You only get out what you put in.
7 years with Torts, watch and learn
“Did you talk to the players today?”
MSL going into his Tortorella phase…
got max verstappen’s media trainer
I am reminded of the press conference in front of the hospital where Mickey Mantle had just received a liver transplant and a reporter asked the surgeon how the donor was doing.
The surgeon looked at the reporter and said “you’re a sports reporter, aren’t you?”
You don’t get a lot of deep thought from that crowd.
Still so many low quality questions that these journalists ask. Like cmon
« Martin, as tu pensé à dire à tes joueurs de compter des buts? »
Good on him honestly some of the questions he gets asked are so fuckin dumb
They should have interviews once a week – having to ask the same questions over and over, like 1 game makes a season must be so tiring for everyone.
At the end of the season, St-Louis will be the longes-tenured coach in Montreal since Scotty Bowman (for a single stay – Therrien still has him beat when you combine his two stints). I’m guessing he’s getting tired of some types of questions.
Me, as a high school teacher everyday.
